NOTE:
AHIP - Army Helicopter Improvement Program - program to arm scout OH-58D helicopters.
16 helos were converted from OH-58As between 1987-1988.
Helos were equipped with M2HB machine gun and a M272 launcher for 2 AGM-114 Hellfires or M670 7-shot launcher for 70mm Hydra rockets.
These helos attacked the oil terminals or boats captured by Iraqis.

Later, from serial 89-0212 from 05/1991, all OH-58Ds were capable to carry the weapons. All older airframes which survived, were retrofitted to be able to carry weapons from 01/1992.
Above is a a complete list of OH-58Ds converted to AH-58D AHIP attack helicopters. No guarrantee which airframes (except the identified on USS Nicholas) were there for Operation Desert Storm, so I list them all.
