When Airfix issued new-tool family of Westland Lynx helicopters in March 2012, I decided to make some notes regarding Gulf versions and compare it with what you can build either from the Airfix or Belcher Bits kit.
After a lot of thinking I decided to update this page and make a list of everything in all scales possible.
Navy version HAS Mk.3GM
1:144
Kits:
Fujimi 144146 (transparent plastic), Fujimi 144122 (normal plastic) - double-kit of army and navy version, you need tweaks and updates to make proper Gulf versions.
1:72
Kits:
Fujimi, Airfix, Heller, Hobby Boss, Frog, Novo, Revell, Plastyk - various age and various quality.
Probably the best combination is (according to Jaroslav Špaček, former Mi-24 pilot):
Hobby Boss 87237 + Pavla Models U72-109 late version udercarriage + Pavla Models C72084 HAS.2 interior + Pavla Models S72052 seats.
If you want to arm your Lynx, you can take Sea Skua rockets and weapon pylons from Hobby Boss 87239 kit or from long OOP set from Airwaves SC72096, where you can also get some fancy PE parts.
If you want to put AN/ALQ-167(V) "Yellow Veil" D/J-band ASM ECM pod + GEC "Sandpiper" FLIR + Loral Challenger IR jammers on your Lynx, you can get it from long OOP set from Airwaves SC72106.
Eduard company makes canopy mask under the number CX243.

Set RC48-06 from Rotor Craft (part of A2Zee) is 100% correct conversion to make a Lynx HAS.3GM from Gulf. Set includes decals for two helos (more in Decals section of my pages) - INSTRUCTIONS in PDF
For HAS.3GM you can use PE parts from Eduard. There are no PE parts for HAS.3GM, as Airfix is not making one (yet), but you can use parts for HMA.8, because the Exterior set has the correct grill for tail rotor (part no. 108)
HMA.8 - 49613 interior - self adhesive, FE613 interior - self adhesive ZOOM, 48741 exterior, 49623 seatbelts, EX366 canopy mask, BIG4985 BIG ED PE set
When Airfix issued new-tool family of Westland Lynx helicopters in March 2012, I decided to make some notes regarding Gulf versions and compare it with what you can build either from the Airfix or Belcher Bits kit.
When some aftermarket company will release either PE or resin update/upgrade/conversion sets, I will update the tables.
BIG thanks goes to Tony "Lynx7" Cook from Britmodeller forum, who was able to decipher all the versions and variants, and I used it for my tables.

If you want to build proper Gulf war navy Lynx from Revell 4837 kit, you will NOT USE parts:

The kit is missing the Tracor M-130 chaff/flare dispensers under the tailboom.
The kit is also missing the RWRs which are mounted on the fuselage sides, so scratchbuilding them is the only chance.
The kit is also missing the outter attachment racks, so scratchbuilding them is the only chance.
If you want to build the helo with hoist, take the parts from Revell 04652 (I only have one pic with hoist installed).

AN/ALQ-167(V) "Yellow Veil" D/J-band ASM ECM pod + GEC "Sandpiper" FLIR + Loral Challenger IR jammers + 2 x Sea Skua
Here is the config drawing. HERE is the config drawing for the XZ230. HERE is the config drawing for the XZ720.
Drawings are taken from the instruction sheet of Modeldecal decals, so it is possible that they are based on real config.
